THIS IS LIFE” – EPISODE 28

DREAMS AND GOALS – PART ‘D’

Dreams come for free.
You pay NO price or fee.
You may blink while you think, and also think while you blink.

Having understood what your dreams are, along with their classifications and specific characteristics (explained in my two previous episodes), I now recommend that you just lean back and relax.

RELAX and let your mind move into your FUTURE.

Dream 100 things.
What would you like to become?
What would you like to acquire?
Where would you like to travel?

Remember: DREAMS do not cost you anything.

Sooooo… let the wild horses of fantasy take you on a joyous ride into your future! Imagine that you are already there…

Dreams – Into Your Future

Today, you may be only 15 years old.
Where would you like to be when you are 25–35 years of age?
Where would you like to be… in INDIA or ABROAD?
What would you be doing 20 years from today?

After 20-odd years, are you still slogging hard to bring extra money into the family? Still struggling to buy a house? Or sitting leisurely in your farmhouse, playing with your children, basking in the glory of the already accomplished?

All phases of life are important, but the years 15–18–25 and, again, 20–25–30 help you become what you really are, show what direction you are on, and where you will really land up.
But there are certain differences between these two categories.
Let’s understand them in a little detail.

DIFFERENCES

15–18–25 YEARSMORE THAN 25 YEARS
Period of excitement, thrill, adventure and recklessnessPeriod of exactness, fact-finding, challenges and results
Very powerful mindsVery focused minds
Lots of innovative ideasStart working on your ideas
Unfazed energyHigh on ENERGY
Wandering mindsSettled minds
Too many desires and dreamsStart working on your dreams
Do not know the meaning of EGOEGO starts creeping in
Do not have to worry about EGGS, BREAD, KHARCHA-PANI (daily expenses)If he is married, he has to shoulder the responsibility of the family and worry about EGGS, BREAD and KHARCHA-PANI
Can easily overcome negativitySometimes negativity can overcome their positivity

So let’s say that the period between 15–18/25 is actually a beautiful period. The distractions are aplenty, but within your control.

In the case of the category that falls after 25 years of age, you will be facing many more responsibilities, be it because of marriage or the ownership of maintaining relationships, along with scores of distractions, hurdles or obstacles – whatever you like to name the challenges.
All this and much more may cloud your thinking, and many a time life and living may even make you miss your GOALS.

FRIENDS,

DREAMS are essential and vital for our survival.

DREAMS fly on imaginary wings. You cannot harness them, so prepare yourself to run after them.

So follow these steps:

  • EAT IN TIME to replenish the lost energy.
  • CONSERVE the energy before that.
  • ENERGISE your body before the warm-up.
  • Prepare to warm up before you run.

See, friends…
This is a process – a step-by-step process.

So start with small dreams: one dream at a time, one small step at a time.

Be careful when you take the steps.

  • Dreams are also very fragile!
  • You have to handle them with care.
  • You have to nurture them properly.
  • You have to condition your mind.

Dreams are also very powerful.

  • If you are not careful, they can be mind-boggling and may sweep you off your feet like a TORNADO.

SOOOO… harness them when you can. Let them not run away.
Always keep them in front of your eyes!

Kabhi-kabhi…
Vaataavaran anukool hota hai, to kabhi samay theek nahi hota;
Kabhi halaat, to kabhi… to kabhi dimaag, ek doosre ke upar haavi ho jaate hain…

Attractions and distractions are part of one’s life.
You have to accept what you think is RIGHT, and DROP what you think is slight.

But…

Now that you know what you desire the most, it gets crystallized as your dream.
Once your DREAM is clear, you must be ready to shed your inhibitions.

Aur likhne ko to bahut hai, par samajhna, samjhaana aur kadam-kadam par ek-doosre ko protsaahit karna bhi bahut zaroori hai!!

THIS IS THE MAKE-OR-BREAK PERIOD!

THIS IS THE DO-OR-DIE PERIOD.

THAT JUST CANNOT BE IGNORED!

And finally…
Don’t be a follower, be a LEADER.
Take OWNERSHIP.
Take responsibility.
Make a COMMITMENT to yourself.
Do not give in to your moods and impulses.
Be accountable to yourself and others.
Set your own standards.
Stick to your own management programme.
Remain cool, collected and CALM.

Remember: nothing will work every time, but EXPECTATION will work every time.

Get mad at yourself!

Aakhir Mein

Chalte chalte…

Gareeb woh nahin, jis ke paas paisa nahi hai…
Gareeb woh hota hai, jis ke paas sapna nahi hai!!!

Apne sapnon ko yaad karo.
Unhe bikharne mat do.
Unhein jakad kar, pakad kar rakho.
Kisi aise-waise ko apne sapne vyarth mat dikhana…
Kahin koi unko tum se chura na le;
Unhe apne hriday

ke sameep sajaa kar rakhna.

Apne sapnon par apna dimaag

itna haavi kar dena, ki uthte, baithte, sote, jaagte, aap ko aur kuch dikhaai hi na de.

Ichchhayein, khayaali pulaav, tamannayein ya lakshya –
Jo achha lage, wahi naam de do.
Woh aapko itna jhanjhod kar rakh dein, ki aap apne aap ko bhula kar, apne comfort zone se utha kar, maidaan-e-jung

mein utar aayein…

Bas, bas… phir kya!
Aap mentally taiyaar to ho hi chuke ho, bas physically peechhe kya hatna!
Aisi honi chahiye aapki apni ichchha shakti!!!

Sapne, sapne na reh jaayein… Aao, unko saakaar karein.

Good luck.
Good bye!

JAI HIND
