THE GREEN ONION STALK SOUP(Bon Ape’tit 20)

Method:

  • Take Butter in a pan, heat the butter and add the finely chopped garlic .
  • Saute for a min or two.
  • When it turns pink, add the green diced stalks, saute  X 2/3 min.
  • Add the tablespoon of Maggi noodles( broken into very small pieces.
  • Now add the two glasses of water and allow to simmer X3/4 min.
  • Add salt  which will hasten the cooking process.
  • Now add freshly ground black pepper.
  • The soup is ready.
  • You may pour in into large bowls, add lemon juice to taste and some shredded cheese if you like. Serve hot.

N.B.

  • My husband likes it like this.
  • I added very fine diced bits of salami ( half a cm in size ) to heighten the taste to my liking.
  • ( This is totally optional).
  • We enjoy this soup in winter soup.  It is light and acts as a very good appetizer. It gives us extra energy . Takes just 5 min of preparation time and 5 min to make it.
